Its summer time and Project Go! Is underway mobilizing short-term mission volunteers to serve at Buckner ministry sites along the US-Mexico Border and several countries.
Just this week I was in Tegucigalpa and ran into two Project Go! Short Term Volunteers teaching English to a group of eager teen students. The class at the Tegucigalpa Community Transformation Center was completely full. Students from the Flor Del Campo CTC were there eager to learn English.
There they were, faithful and fruitful teaching their students how to speak English. It was an awesome sight to see.
In June Buckner sent out a group of about 25 Short Term Volunteers and another group will travel in July. Take a moment to read their stories at http://blog.itsyourmission.com/ and pass this link around to others that might be interested to see how God is working through these students.
Project Go! Short Term Volunteers comprise part of the 6,000 volunteers that are on mission with Buckner this year. God changes lives when volunteers like these bring the Kingdom very near. Pray for their time among the least of these, for their safety, and for the work that God will do in the lives of children, orphans, and families they come in contact with.
